Wiggle that wheel, wiggle it faster, wiggle wiggle wiggle.

I sounded mad as I was shouting this quite loudly. AND it was at the Wife and not the children! The PlaSmart Plasma Car has that kind of effect on a grown Man!

Also known as the wiggle car these are now a pretty timeless toy that I can see being very popular for many more years to come. With a load of different colors, and the potential for Plasma Car races if you buy a set of two (and you will want one, trust me) they are currently really very cheap. Buy a cheap Plasma Car for the children and get one for yourself, just try not to get too excited. But what exactly are these strange looking ride on cars for the kids?

Why, glad that you asked, allow me to explain.

Plasma Cars

They are a very simple looking scooter type of thing that works in such an ingenious way that I am still having trouble figuring it out.

At the rear we have 2 wheels, and then at the front we actually have 3 wheels that are connected via a column to the steering wheel.

No pedals, and pretty much no moving parts apart from wheels and steering wheel.

What We Do

We wiggle, and we wiggle fast. We turn the wheel from side to side and in this way the PlaSmart Plasma Car roll forwards. It is all pretty amazing really and it is certainly a lot of fun.

The beauty of them is that they are built so solidly that they can actually take the weight of an adult. As long as you don’t have a weight issue anyway!

The wiggling must somehow propels it forward thanks to the wheel set-up at the front, my brain is just not up to the task of quite getting it.

What I do know is that the kids absolutely love them and they would happily spend hours every day on them. They also push them along with their feet just like they can on other ride-on cars too.

OK, as you can tell, I love the cheap Plasma Cars, but let’s looks at some pros and cons.

The Good Points

Pretty much everything that I have stated above. Adults love them as much as the kids do. If you read the reviews via my link above you will see that parents, Grans and friends of the family all love the cars as much as the children do.

They are fast enough for the kids and they love the bright colors too.

They are easy to assemble although you will need a rubber mallet.

The Bad

The only negative really is that for them to go fast you need a very flat surface. They are not designed to work that well on rough terrain. So ensure that you do have a nice flat drive, or a tiled floor, so that the children can get the most out of them. And you too really.

But overall they are one of those intriguing toys that are great value for money.

They are built to be so durable that they are pretty much going to last forever. So even if you know you could get a different ride on toy for a lower price I can guarantee that they will never be as durable as the Plasma Car.

Pick your color, buy two, honestly you will want one, and let the races begin.
