I must admit that I am a little bit of a cynic when it comes to new toys with a lot of hype. And although I am a little late writing about the Lalaloopsy, considering they have been out for some time now, I certainly want to give a review of just what they are and whether or not they are really as great a doll as the Online hype would have us think.
As usual, and it comes as no surprise, there are some great deals to be found on Amazon. If you just want to buy Lalaloopsy dolls cheap and ignore this Man’s opinions then you can do so now.
Cheap Lalaloopsy Dolls
First let’s talk about price. And to be honest this is one thing that really annoys me about new toys. Or toys that stay popular year after year. It is exactly the same with the Barbie dream townhouse.
This is particularly relevant when we are near to Christmas time. Prices fluctuate wildly. I remember the Barbie house doubling in price in 2010. This is not the fault of the actual stores though, it is when popular items are basically out of stock.
With the Lalaloopsy dolls most of them are very cheap, a great buy in fact. But a few seem to go up in price dramatically as all stores find themselves out of stock. As Amazon is always the cheapest you will find that here I usually point to them for great deals. And they are the cheapest price for Lalaloopsy. But ones that they do not have in stock themselves are sold by third parties.
Anyone can sell on Amazon. And as the rush begins in the countdown to Christmas these seller raise their prices.
Just a warning really.
If you want to by popular toys then make sure that you do it very early on in the year, it will solve a lot of problems down the line. Enough of me moaning, let’s take a look at the Lalaloopsy Dolls and see if they really are as great as they seem.

First impressions are really rather good.
We have an ever growing number of different dolls that all look different to each other. This is important as it makes the young girls that get these dolls feel special. They get a cute doll that is hopefully different to their friends. It makes it a lot more personal and this is one aspect that I love.
No duplicate dolls with all the kids having something different and that little bit more special is a great touch.
Lalaloopsy Options
There are lots. We have the full size dolls as well as Lalaloopsy mini and a number of playsets too. This has grown considerably over the last year so they really are a very large brand name now. We just need to be careful not to aim at getting everything available or it would cost a fortune.
Why The Lalaloopsy Are Special
Each one is made differently. They are each made from different pieces of material which then gives them their own personalities. Each comes with her own pet and her own set of clothes and style.
This is definitely the feature that appeals to me.
It means that not only do they all look different, as mentioned earlier, but they are given personalities, which is ideal for imaginative play for the children.
The parents can also buy what they believe is the most suitable doll for their child. If they have a particular interest then you can be pretty sure there is a doll that reflects this. Choose dolls based on colors, their history of where they were made, or a few other options. It really does make them something just that little bit special.
My Conclusion
Although there is a lot of hype around the Lalaloopsy dolls I do actually feel it is deserved. Not only are they relatively cheap as long as they are in plentiful supply, but they are not just a generic doll.
We have the ability to get something just that little bit different and I know for sure that the kids appreciate this.
