Hedbanz Game For Kids

I have been lucky enough to play the Hedbanz game, and I can tell you now that it is one of the funniest family games out there. The Hedbanz game for kids and adults is one of those games that is so simple in its game-play you would expect it to be less fun than it actually is. But the simplicity is actually a part of the appeal.

This is definitely on my list of “to buys”, and if you are looking for a family game then it is hard to think of anything that gives better value for money really.

Hedbanz For Kids

There are two versions, the Hedbanz for kids and the one for adults too. I have only played the kids one, and to be honest it appealed to me just fine, it is just great family fun.

We played with 2 adults and 2 children (up to 6 can join in the fun though) and one thing I can tell you now is that the kids are delighted that they get to play with the grown-ups. .

And for one very specific reason too.

They like to see us looking silly.

And take my word for it, you will. You stick the Hedbanz on and put your card in it and this alone gets snickers and smiles from the youngsters.

And then just wait until you actually fail to guess what is on the card. Not good, not good at all.

But it is a delight to see the children being so amused and engrossed in what is, at heart, one of the simplest games ever devised.

Hedbanz Game Rules

For this particular set the rules are oh so simple.

Cards are split between animals, food or objects.

We pick one and stick it in the band without looking at it.

Then we simply have to ask a series of questions to deduce the right answer. All set against the clock. We get one minute only to guess the right answer.

Everyone starts out with 3 chips, you get rid of one for a correct guess, and you get an extra one if you fail to guess correctly in time.

That’s it!

Oh so simple but amazing fun.

I would check out the reviews on Amazon via the link here to see just what others are saying. To be honest it tied in exactly with my main concerns before we played. It is such a simple game that before you begin you can’t really see how it is going to be much fun.

But the cute cards and the timer really does make it enjoyable.

I was actually getting nervous as my time was coming around. I really didn’t want to get it wrong. The timer really does get you in a bit a fluster but all in just the name of healthy family fun.

What I love

I love the fact that it amuses the children no end. They can’t seem to get enough of the adults looking a bit daft. But it doesn’t have to involve the adults. The children love playing it with their friends too. Perfect for any kind of event, party or such, the low price makes it one of those additions to the toy cupboard that is going to continue to get a lot if use.

What I Don’t Like

To be honest nothing really.

This is just simple family fun with a few simple rules that make it ideal for lots of different age groups. I suppose one drawback is that the number of card is limited. This may be a problem once it has been played lots and lots of times, but as I only had a few games I can’t really say how soon this would be an issue.
