The Barbie Dream Townhouse (Pink) has now been available for a few years. And I have to be honest and say that trying to find the best price resource has not been that easy. The problem is that it often becomes such a rare item that it is not a toy that always has a steady price.

In 2010 the price doubled as it became rare near to Christmas time, and this left a lot of parents very annoyed indeed. Comparing the prices for the Barbie Dream Townhouse has meant trying to keep a track of what has been happening and see who now does seem to offer the best deals for the Barbie Pink 3 story dream townhouse.

Basically it seems that Amazon have the best price, at least if they themselves have it in stock. They do seem to be keeping in stock unlike in 2010 so the price is staying a lot more stable.

The Barbie dream townhouse with elevator does fluctuate in price so I recommend that if you don’t see a discount you wait until one shows up. Obviously if it is for a Christmas gift this may not be so easy. This is why I always recommend that you buy items like this early, before the mad rush begins and everyone is rushing to buy at any price.

Barbie Dream Townhouse Review

As long as the Barbie dream townhouse price has not gone up to insane prices like in 2010 then this is a great deal. The sheer size alone makes it a force to be reckoned with.

It stands at over 3 feet tall making it just about the best, and biggest, Barbie dollhouse that is currently available.

But this is just the beginning really. The reality is that it is all the extras that make it something special. And, for the current price I could find, extremely good value for money.

Barbie Dream Townhouse Contents

Firstly, this is a Barbie house with elevator. Very original indeed. The house is on 3 stories so if Barbie has had a tiring day she can get in the working elevator and go to the top floor to her bedroom to rest.

What we also have on the top floor is an outdoor jacuzzi. With working tiki lights too. This is really rather an innovative idea when it comes to dollhouses, and it is actually just the first of many surprises we have.

Fully Wired For Sound

barbie townhouse with elevator The whole house is actually wired for sound. From the loo flushing, to a roaring fireplace, we seem to have the lot. It makes it come alive and it ensures that it is something just that little bit special.

With doorbell sounds, a kitchen timer and more, this is pretty much fully fitted out for realism when the children are playing.

Other Features

We have a tv that pops up and all manner of little gems like this, including fully fitted bathroom and furnishings throughout the house. All of which are dressed in traditional Barbie pink, of course.

There is even a chandelier too.

The Bad

The main negative about this house is the way it is shipped. It is just shipped in the Barbie dream townhouse box and not with additional protection. Considering it is a rather delicate item it should come with more protection when packed. But it seems that for those that bought it it still managed to arrive safely and with no damage.

But I would recommend that you buy it early enough so that if it does arrive damaged you can send it back to be replaced.

This is a minor point really as I could find no records of anyone actually having to do this, but it is better to be safe than sorry I think

Overall Opinion

Overall the Barbie dream townhouse is about the best Barbie house ever. As long as it arrives safely and we don’t see any stupid price rises near to the gift giving season, then this is about as good as it gets for Barbie fans.

It is large enough so that two girls can play together, they can sit either side of it with plenty of space inside for each of them. It is a relatively expensive item though, so I would just make sure that they know this is going to be a main present, it certainly has the size to prove that it is too.
