The Alex toys friends 4 ever bracelet making kit is one of those inexpensive items for the girls that is going to teach skills as well as provide hours of entertainment. We came across it at a Birthday party for one of my daughters friends, and it was a massive hit.

What you get for the money is pretty staggering, I was very impressed indeed. All the girls gathered round and it led to a lot of discussions about what to make, what colors to use, and who got to make what for whom. The Alex toys friendship bracelet kit price makes it one of those items that is kind of a staple for any young girls collection. Nice and cheap but it comes with the ability for them to produce countless variations of friendship bracelets, basically only limited to their imaginations.

Improves Many Skills

Patience: It takes time to learn how to make these bracelets. Children are going to have to understand the different techniques and apply themselves to the task. Once they get the hang of it then it is still between 30 and 60 minutes to make one. Patience is a very important skill to learn and what better way than for them to learn this while also being productive and making something to be proud of?

Dexterity: Although aimed at the 8 years and over market you may find that younger children can get the hang of this as well. It really is amazing how young the children can be when they learn a new skill. Making the bracelets will improve their dexterity no end.

Creativity: And for me this is the most important factor. Although there are set patterns and techniques to follow the creativity is still very important. Colors and overall designs need to be thought about and decided upon, and then, more importantly, actually put in to practice.

Drawbacks

The only issue some of the girls seemed to have was in actually following the instructions. Luckily there is a very good video on the Alex Toys site that shows you exactly what to do. Here is the link. While I don’t recommend buying from the site, they are cheaper via the Amazon link above, the video will allow the kids to learn how to make the bracelets very easily. Please note this is for an older version of the kit, but the same rules apply.

What Can You Make

There are 2 styles and 8 patterns to be made, with 22 color options. More than enough in my book.

The great thing is that it is all provided in a great carry case that means the whole thing is entirely portable. Perfect for journeys as well as for home use.

The 4 wheels that you get in the pack each allow you to make 2 patterns and show you exactly how it is done. Any problems and you just refer to the video linked to above. The children get to pick their colors and get to work. The wheels do tell you which colors to use but you will find that once the children get the hang of the patterns they prefer to pick their own.

Bead can also be added to the friendship bracelets to make them even more exciting.

Overall Opinion?

For the price it is tremendous value. It is one of those toys that gets a lot of use and is practical as well as fun. The only drawback is that there are limited patterns, but to be honest there is enough variety thanks to the many color options and the ability to add beads.

Plus parents can easily buy extra strings cheaply from a local store to mix things up a little.
